Shovelhead stator replacement

Hi,
I am running a S&S generator Shovel and have decided to
make the generator/alternator redundant and go with the crankshaft option that I have with the super stock cases.
I was told that I needed a 19amp stator suitable for 71-75
Electra glide. I purchased and now its arrived,have found it to have four wires all black going to a four pin plug. Trouble is i
Am running a cycle electric low voltage regulator with a two pin plug. I cut the plug off when it was connected to the two terminals on the gen/alt.
My question is, can I use the new stator just using two of its pins?
And hardwire to the regulator?
If relevant,its kicker only and antigravity 12v battery

you buy regulator to match same stator

How about a picture?
If you are running what I think you are running it sounds like you are trying to run both a generator and an alternator through the same single regulator.
That just ain't gonna work.
The generator puts out DC current and voltage which simply needs to be regulated,controlled.
The alternator puts out Alternating AC power, and needs to be rectified, changed, into just DC output.
Both require entirely different circuitry.
I would suggest you contact Cycle Electric for their take on the matter.....

You must use a regulator matched to the stator, so 4 pin is needed. The old regulator will not workcorrectly on it, especially one for a generator. It must be an AC type.

Apologies for my explanation,in hindsight I could have worded things better.
I have been running a 32a 12v alternator vtwin mfg that looks like
A generator but is in fact an alternator,so no generator in the
Mix. I had three idler gears wear their teeth into razor blades that you could shave a beard off. No harm coming to the alternator gear and distributor gear ,but filling my cam chest with
Needle swarf.not good and lots of work/sleepless nights ect
From what I can gather,there are two pins that charge and two that run the lights and really what I was trying to ascertain,was as my lights run from the battery,could I just ignore those two pins
Also I have to use the low voltage cycle electric regulator as I am using an antigravity battery

No help here on the electronics, but I am curious about the worn out gears. Aftermarket pieces with bad heat treat? Or what??
I broke a tooth off of my dizzy idler gear, and don't know why that happened.

Roodog, I was thinking excactly the same with this gear problem
Probably asian, that said £100 gets expensive,but more to the point ,can’t have this happen anymore
