Can a generator simply be bolted into a servi with alternator???

Short answer is yes. There is the regulator and wiring to consider as well. Drive gears are the same, the ratio is determined by the belt for the alternator so no internal (timing chest) difference.

Thanks Robbie, going to use a CE generator with end cap regulator...
