1938 oil tank needs some help

#1

Post by Ratedspeed »

Hello all,
Has anyone had any luck repairing a supply line fitting where it's swaged to the tank? Mine is seeping. It also needs the bracket repaired. Not sure, but these 38/39 tanks feel like they're a lighter gauge steel then later tanks.
Any restoration shops for oil tanks?
Thanks,
Mike

Repair bracket - https://deluxehdrestorations.com/produc ... to-quality
The tank can be mig or tig welded by the oil line fitting.
Check yellow pages or talk to friends, good welders in your area.
