Servi-Car Custom Box/Bed
Hey all!
I don't have the Servicar box for my 46 rebuild project, and the prices for used box's are insane. A guy in Poland is making repro steel boxs that he sells on Ebay. Has anyone built a custom box or pickup bed from scatch? I have the box frame with the coil/ leaf springs. I saw a few years ago at the Mecum auction someone made a pickup Servi-car using a sectioned and channeled Model T pickup bed. Thats a lot of metal work, but I think I found a steel utility cart that would bolt to the fame. Has anyone done this?
Cheers!

Curious about the price shipped from Poland. With fenders? VTwin was reproducing them for a while, kinda pricy at $2600. Not sure where those were made.

The fenders are available on Ebay for $222.79 each. The box was about $2200 plus about $400 shipping ( fenders not included). Looks like it sold. It's no longer on ebay.

Re: Servi-Car Custom Box/Bed
My 65 box currently has a plywood bed. A few years ago I bought some 3" tongue and groove fir with the intent of replacing the plywood. I believe that may be how the OEM bed was manufactured.
Anyhow, Good 3/4" plywood like sturdi floor is pretty rugged and easy to work with, if you are only looking for utility.

There was a company that made the box's in the states . I don't remember the name but I think it started with a L . I think they were a sheet metal shop . I'll see if I can find anything in my notes .

Owner passed on, shop no longer exists. No one took over Merle's business.
