this will sound kinda dumb but I better check now instead of finding later I have it wrong.. My parts book shows my oiltank mounting plate has some spacers that go under it #62581-36 it shows 2 But since it is showing a drawing of spacer at the front ,and another drawing of the same spacer at the rear ,and both called index #41 I'm thinking they must mean 2 at the front and 2 at the rear . I used all four and the mounting plate and it fits on nicley..
Can someone confirm this please ?

58-64 use 4 spacers. you have to or the battery tray hump will hit the rear mounting braket.

Was looking for the thickness dimension for the spacer and came upon this reply. I never noticed the rear spacers! Have ya got one handy to measure for thickness? I'd love to make 'em instead of waiting for a set. As I remember, they were 5/8" in diameter with a clearance hole for a 5/16" bolt drilled in 'em.Robert Luland wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2011 7:05 pm 58-64 use 4 spacers. you have to or the battery tray hump will hit the rear mounting braket.
