Make sure you let them know your battery size so they can give you correct one

Yes. There's a low output version for small batteries stuffed into horseshoe oil tanks and regular version for bigger batteries in side mounted tanks. They also sell generator/regulator combo units in both flavors.

To select correct regulator, the critical info is kickstart only, or electric start
