Reminds me of those machines with the big slicks spinning backward that they use at drag strips to lay down rubber on the track. I do like the symmetry of the motors, with a the front and rear heads and jugs swapped on the left side motor.

At a dealers' show, more than a few years ago, there was on display a custom engine that used two Evo top ends on a custom cast set of mono-block cases, custom crank and internals. From the side it looked like a normal engine, but up close it was plain to see that one pair of jugs & heads were reversed with the carbby out the left side. Standard single primary on the left. I don't remember how the cams were arranged, but this four cylinder mill was over 160 inches and in a chassis....
