Regarding the oil line installation, I found that installing the lines in this order made life easier.
1) Feed Line
2) Vent Line
3) Return Line
Also, having a 11/16 Snap-On angle wrench makes tightening easier, and a 9/16 Snap-On angle wrench for the bottom Vent Line fitting.
Cheers!

Finally started the bike today, She runs and idles, but no oil pressure. I bleed the feed line to the pump, (twice)
the red idiot light stayed on, so I installed a pressure gauge. It's showing zero psi??? Bleed the feed line again, no air. When I removed the pressure switch it had oil coming out of the hole. I removed the 2 screw caps and it was full of oil. I'm timed the pump gear according to the service manual. Any suggestions on what to check next?

Thanks,
Mike K

Wear in the vanes of the pump (or collapsed vane spring). Too thick of a gasket on the pump. Screw missing in the end of the pinion shaft if the threaded type. Those are just three to check...

I purchased the pump new from Flatland Motorcycle. Would the incorrect gasket cause this?

When I bled the feed line, I loosened the nut on the fitting and tightened back up at the first sign of oil. Am I not purging this correctly?

I purchased these in 2019, the only records I saved was for the tires.
COKER TIRE AMERICAN CLASSIC BIAS LOOK RADIAL WHITEWALL TIRE
560R15
257-700308
$238.00 EACH
For the rims, just take the stock full steel rim size and match it up on the Coker sight. I believe there was only 2 choices in that size and bolt pattern. Primed and chromed.
Hub caps were O.E. Style Baby Moon Cap | 10.125 Inch Back I.D.
1011
$24.00 each from Coker
Hope this helps you.

It's been a while; I have an update on my flathead rebuild with no oil pressure. After exhausting every possibly thing I could think of, including changing the oil pump again and installing the HD 4 vane option. I still had no oil pressure. So I pulled the engine, crated it up, and shipped via Fastenal to Resurrection Cycle in VA. I let Steve LeMay put it on his test stand and he called me today with the following.
Both brand new oil pumps ( 2 brand new V-Twin pumps) were bad and made NO PRESSURE. He temporarily installed a used OEM pump and my problem went away. WTH?!
