CCE Rocker covers

I have always loved the looks of the Finned Rocker Covers like the CCE product.
Got a set I wanted to use on my 65 pan.
They do not fit the stock frame. The rear cover hits the frame backbone. A side by side eyeball evaluation shows the CCE cover about 1/8 taller.
Anyone else run these covers in a stock frame?
If so how did you get them to fit?

Not surprised, likely made for chopper frames, remove the fins that hit the frame.

I ran a set in 1968 in a stock frame, no issues. The rear pan has the fins removed to clear a stock frame. Are you sure these are real CCE pans, and not knockoffs? They have cast in CCE markings inside the covers, the set I have for sale, are maker marked & patent numbered....

I want to pull the chromed CCE’s off mine. They are fine, close but not touching on the rear. I am looking for AM anodized aluminum covers. All I’ve been seeing is stainless. Anyone know who may sell some OE looking AM aluminum covers? Bought a pair at a swap meet but they have too much patina for this chop and it’s just now going going back together after frame and tins being painted.

Listed on eBay is this single CCE rear VC. It is factory clearanced for the rear head. Is this what you have?

Polish those jokers: Even though they yours are adonized any local polisher of metals can get those things bright and shiny with not that much work

I have my own harbor freight bench grinder/polisher, and I have polished many aluminum/stainless trim, rocker covers, adonized or not (adonized just takes a little more effort) You will find aluminum covers are a little hard to find and when you do they can be pricy. Clean and polish what you have/save some money.............]
