Probably some imagination too.

I suppose offering it for sale is better than trashing the few usable parts, but what is all that stuff really worth?

Maybe it’s worth a bit, but the dealbreaker is chasing down parts of it with a third party. Story sounds a bit fishy too, “he paid more than that 20 years ago”, Hmmmm…

They are getting harder to find. That could be a perfect frame with little work. That is if all the castings are as he says. I have a mint 37 midyear frame on the shelf that I have already turned away an offer of $12500.00. 36 to 37 is a real tough build. Insane prices if you can find it. Bob L
