Re: Bad news in Germany
Well bummer George, although Rian is in a better place now. My best to you and Josefa as well as your stepdaughter and granddaughter. What a tragedy for them.
3 years ago my nephew died unexpectedly at 46 of an aneurysm and my Brother and SIL still struggle every day with the loss. He was also the closest to my wife and I so we share your pain and the sense of helplessness that surround such an event. God bless you all.

Re: Bad news in Germany
We never know what may be around the corner, if any good can come from tragedy ,perhaps it is as a reminder to live each day to the fullest. My mother was only 50 when she died from an aneurysm . My youngest brother was only 18 at the time. And my daughter, hit and killed by a car at 16 years old. Grief seems to be a part of life, especially as we get older. The passage of time seems to be the only thing that helps. We never want to forget... Keep talking with your family, grief needs to be let out. Just saying the lost loved one's name lets those family members know they are not alone in their grief. I used to think a lot about how my mom would want us to remember all the great times we had as a big family, boating, snowmobiling, dirt biking, camping. She had a short but blessed life, I hope your daughters boyfriend can live on in their memories too...Mike
