Re: Triple trees covers
I have had chromed aluminum wheels that attracted a magnet also. What's up with that?

Differing grades of stainless steel will attract a magnet based on composition.
Chrome plated aluminum can attract a magnet due to alloys in the wheel and Nickel in the chrome.

Lo siento.... For some reason I was thinking of the -60 die cast aluminum alloy nacelle...
Bruce Palmer says both Stainless and plain steel fork panel were available, and after market chroming of OEM panels is always a possibility.... Also some stainless alloys are magnetic, so nothing seems to be definitive....
