Online source for stainless steel hardware

#1

Post by Sidecar »

I'm looking for a good online source for stainless steel nuts, bolts, washers and acorns. Small quantities. Something like 5 to 25 pieces of each part/size.
Any thoughts are appreciated !!!

These guys have lots of different stuff as well, and are willing to ship you just a few pieces by mail for very little shipping.

I go to True Value , they have chrome and a lot of stainless stuff , not all stores have the chrome ,but most have a good selection of any thing else you need , but maybe not quantity.

I used to go to the local True value and they had everything I needed. It's now closed. Owner blamed it on Home Depot & Lowes. I don't like the local Home Depot, but Lowes has a half decent selectrion.
I just found boltdepot.com. Looks like they have a BIG selection of chrome, stainless, brass, zinc plated, ect....... You can order 1 piece, a box of 10 or bulk in 100 piece.

There is probably an Ace hardware around here somewhere, but I haven't noticed.
The now closed True Value store was also the Gunrunner. I had to keep myself out of the gun store when I went to get something. Quite a few times I ended up spend way too much money when I went there.

I ordered socket head stainless and chrome bolts, lock & flat washers and acorn nuts from BoltDepot.com & McMaster-Carr.com
I was amazed at the stuff McMaster-Carr has to offer. More than likely, I will order my additional stuff from there. If I have any problems with either place, I'll post the info.

Thanx !!!

I got the McMaster-Carr delivery this AM. Boy, that was fast !!!! I ordered normal ground service too.

Got the shipment from BoltDepot on the 26th.
McMaster-Carr much faster on the deliveries.
