Hello! I have a 1951 Panhead and at the time of buying it had the shown part which I consider is the voltage regulator. My opinion is that this part is not correctly located in the bike. Could you tell me if this is really the voltage regulator and where does it have to be placed in the bike? Thanks

Re: Voltage Regulator
A typical 1951 pan would not have a voltage regulator, it would just have a cutout relay.
The cutout relay would be mounted on the boss at the right front of the gearcase, as asked/answered in your other post.
The picture in this post does not appear to be a standard H-D cutout relay, but it may be electrically identical.
