Rear brakes on a '52

#1

Post by CanadianRocky »

I want to replace the disc brake on the back with stock 1952 Brakes on my '52. Does anyone know of a complete kit I can get to do this?

Thanks

Rocky

Paughco has the best aftermarket option, high quality stuff. The best shoes are cast iron, if Paughco's are stamped steel, OEM shoes are a nice upgrade later on.
They left the factory with black paint. Paughco offers both black and chrome, but if you're going back to stock, I think you'll want black. They also have all the linkage if you need it. All that stuff adds up, it will be a little expensive, but Paughco is as close to stock as you'll find. Avoid saving a few bucks on V-Twin. Also, check Dennis Corso for rods, linkage, etc.
Not sure if you can find a 'kit' for it, everything in one box, but between Paughco and Corso you can find it all. Doesn't hurt to check eBay, but used parts sometimes need minor repairs.

you will also need the star hub wheel .... most disk set-ups use the 70 s flange hubs .also does your frame still have the cross over tube ?
