I'd have to be highly suspect of vapors getting sucked into the carb, also 3.5 turns is awful rich it sounds to me. Maybe try turning the needle back in until it stumbles and then 4-5 clicks back out. Then do you test again perhaps, I wonder if it's possible that the bike is loading up as a coincidence to the test you are doing?

Have you thought about actually riding the bike and see how it performs since it seemed to pass the bubble test? Maybe you are trying too hard to find a leak. If it runs/idles fine while on the road, then all you need is to address the issue with why it's running rich. Much easier to narrow down.
