threading throttle cable in bars

#1

Post by doug_heisel »

I'm attempting to put my 52 pan back to at least looking like a panhead. it wont be all original. my question is, is there an easy way to thread a new cable in to the one piece handlebars. the handlebars I have are the V-twin one piece complete kit. I'm trying to change the right spiral to a pull. and going to a modern cable instead of the wire. any ideas are very welcomed.

A cable can easily be substituted for the wire. Leave the outer in place and insert the cable inner into it. Solder the end of the cable beforehand to keep it from snagging.

Ok, that's a lot easier than any of my ideas. I've been thinking it over for a couple days and all of my ideas seemed like they ended in me cussing and throwing something. LOL Thanks for the advice.
