V-Twin heads what spark plug?
This doesn't look right. It's a NGK B6L.
I can't find that a V-Twin replica head should take anything else than stock length.

Re: V-Twin heads what spark plug?
This is the same situation as my STD heads. They take a long reach plug. I use NGK BP5ES, (non-resistor). They color the insulator nicely. It's the same plug for a Shovel except no resistor and I run .025" gap. It would be interesting to know what others are using..

Re: V-Twin heads what spark plug?
I have STD heads. Recently put in Helicoil plug inserts due to my over wrenching the rear plug. I use HD4, Autolite 65 ( my favorite ), AC Delco R44XLS (had these as a back up and used one when I dropped an A65, it worked great in the rear plug).
PS, I do position the open gap on the plug towards in the intake valve. Using conventional V-Twin repop vintage coil and Napa points and condensor.

For what it's worth, I run BP7es with my STD heads, runs great.
Pic below, I just happen to have my heads off.
Bad luck with stripping the thread, I just nip mine up!

Re: V-Twin heads what spark plug?
When i install a brand new plug....IF the heads still HOT....If i have the time i let it cool...If i cant wait...I spin the plug in and when it stops I Stop and let it get the same temp of the head....year ago i spin one in when the heads very hot and torqued to the specs for a new plug....when i reamoved it after a few years it had galled the treads terrible However it cleaned Up ok with a spark plug hold "thread cleaner" and when i used that i coated the flutes with grease and did a few turns and took it out and cleaned the grease off and added more !
