doing some work on the hyda (1950),,removed the handle bars wires and switches ..
removed the throttle and advance with inner wire ,,, grub screw but the outer cable would not push out ,,
i managed to unscrew the outer cable with some problem ,, so was thinking of just leaving the stop part in the handle bare ..
they are going to the platers
i think i can then screw the outer cable back in???? but will need new ones
any advice

Re: handlebares and cables
Remove set screw that locks outer cable in place, spray penetrating oil in handle bar end, I use a bent screwdriver through horn button hole to push out.

Re: handlebares and cables
The cable is not intended to unscrew from the stop spool. It is soldered together as an assembly and should be treated as such. If it is loose it will contribute to poor throttle action.
