Hi I have to get my self a linkert manifold for 1960 duoglide they offer one made of steel and one made of aluminium wondering if it is better to go with aluminium .

Factory used cast iron manifolds, aluminum expands more with heat compromising manifold seals.

H-D produced both. The aluminum type is correct for a '60. There are two versions of the aluminum one and the earlier one was used from '58-'62. It does not have the extra reinforcing rib on it and has a casting number 27027-55 on the top. It was a raw finish.
