Frame casting "A11" on WLA frame

#1

Post by LivingRoomHarley »

Is there a list showing the meaning of the "A11" markings on my frame? As far as I understand this is related to the production year of the frame. I have searched this and other forums and the "Documentation" and "Knowledge Base", but could not find an answer. This was once a chopper powered by a WLA engine in the Mark V production range.

The "A" relates to AmForge, the foundry that made the castings from late '42 up, and the numbers 10,11, or 12 all appear on frames made during 1944. All according to Palmer's 2nd edition.

Thanks, so I will keep the 1944 produced engine with this frame.

Those bolts don't belong in the fork stops either.
