cam shafts ?

Post by Rain Man »

I've got 3 cams on a shelf. 2 shovels, 1 pan. one of the shovels has an H stamped on the gear. The pan cam has no markings. Any way of measuring the lobes on these things to figure out what they are?

The "victory" cam is marked with an "H".(FLH cam) The regular FL cams were not marked-at least not any I have seen and the cams for the E models have a "61" either on the front lobe or on the gear.HTH

I had a "VICTORY" cam purchased new from franchised H-D dealer that had a "V" on it instead of the "H"....bosheff

Wow,I never saw one of those. Only V cam I have ever seen is an early evo cam.The early (55-6-7) FLH engines I have worked on had the "H" marked cam.Glad to hear about the variant. :)
