Re: cams, sifton or crane?
IMO,
I really like the Sifton 102 Aristocrate. I ran it in my 57 with S&S wheels with a 4 1/2" stroke and the S&S pistons .030 over (ran the teflon buttons on the wristpins). Im not sure what it would do for a stock 74. I had loads of power and 1st kick starting. Ran that set up for 5K miles untill traded it off. It was a leak proof Pan! Im definatly going to run that cam in the 48 Im building now.

Re: cams, sifton or crane?
Sifton is not a real brand name anymore: Tedd might throw anything in the box...!
Crane probably farms out their production as well, but they have a history of much better quality control.
