Is there suppose to be a oil deflector on the main drive gear on a 1965 panhead? I am replacing the seal and there is not a deflector when I took it apart and was wondering if 65's had one or did they only have them in 64 and earlier?
thankyou

Re: 65 panhead main drive gear
Good question, VS!
The parts catalog lists it for '39 through '69, however I do not believe it will fit with an aluminum primary.
Its purpose is to spray oil from the end of the gear into a tin primary.
