CAMSHAFTS-?
?--DOES anybody have expieriance with the 296A cam by CRANE!---HOW does a relatively stock machine like it & PROS & CONS.---THANK-YOU IN ADVANCE---RICHIE

I've put almost 100K miles on my panhead with a 296A cam. I like it. It's not a super aggressive "lopie" cam. Starts are very easy with it. I'm running Wiseco pistons which makes ~8.5:1 CR with the 296A. It's been a trouble free cam for me.

EDIT: One thing to note... I believe you have to install a later cam bearing (needle type) in the case to use the 296A. If I recall it won't work with the stock bushing.

THANKS CASHCANDE!--SO its a nice street cam , pretty much threw the RPM RANGE!--Good to know you def. gettin your bang for the $$!--Had some bad EXP. with CRANE in the past!--But HAD my EYE on this cam for a 51 im doin for my buddy. SO far I heard good things & nothing negative!--I figured it had to be a nice cam for everyday rollin!--The lift & duration are nice numbers to play with for a everyday machine.Again much obliged!----RICHIE

I just had new bushing put in mine, and reamed to fit new cams. Will work with newer cams.
