Can you use a 74" right side case with a EL left side case? I have a '49 El left and a '52 74" right. Also can you use 74" jugs with a 61" lower? Thanks.

No issues with either of those combos. The cases would need to be matched to each other, which would have to happen anytime mismatched cases are used no matter what displacement they originally were. Generally you need to match the right one to the left, not vice-verse. And that combo requires a little oil return modification, very simple stuff.
And using 74 jugs with a 61 lower requires high compression pistons or shortening the barrels to make the compression height work out. Search the forum for old discussions of this.
