sifton lifters

Hey, I am running a set of siftons, I thought would be USA when I got em. when I saw they were china I nearly Crapped! but i put em in and run em.does anybody have anything good to say about them. id like to maby install a set of Jims rollers on them this winter. will the axel shaft fit properly in the body? thanks

V-Twin bought the Sifton name........we all know where V-Twin gets most of their crap.

49er!

If you can read something like BRVI on the side of the roller, the rollers themselves aren't bad (Japanese).

(OEM-style rollers should be changed out with every top end if hydraulics are eliminated.)

If the bodies of the lifters fit your tappet bores, they are probably serviceable.

I have the Sifton big axle units in my '65, and they seem to work fine. They are oversize, with a nice honed fit in my guide blocks. It wasn't my idea to get the foreign made units,but xxit happens. I am using Comp Cams steel pushrods. They are as quiet as a church mouse most of the time.
