Replacement Left Side Case?

#1

Post by captainharley »

Does anybody make replacement left side engine cases for Panheads? Recently I saw on eBay A guy advertising replacement Knucklehead cases. I've got an old (but in great shape)
right case and was just wondering..... :?:

You can buy case sets from several sources. STD makes them, VTwin, and 1 other I thing. Check out J&P cycles web site. They have at least a couple. But as I said, they only advertise selling both sides as a set. You might be able to contact one of the mfgs and see if they would sell one side. I don't know if they would then bolt up to an OEM case half.

I've got a set of S&S generator cases, don't know if I'll ever use them though. I think a company called "Cal Custom" (?) use to make replacement left cases, but they don't anymore.
I doubt any of the companys that make Harley-like motor cases would sell only a left one.
And I doubt they would match up very good either. :? Sometimes I like to think out loud on
these message boards.
