Hello Panhead lovers. My 65 has always had a problem leaking oil from front cylinder base gasket on pushrod tubes side. In about the middle of the base gasket. Have replaced the gasket, filed cylinder and case for any burrs. The cylinders are 30 over, and running a J grind cam. Besides that, the mtr and bike are factory stock. I have a 48 Indian chief that use to leak oil around the push rod tubes. I installed a crank vent and solved all oil leaks. I was wondering if any of you have installed a crank vent on a 65? Where would you plumb it into the mtr at? I am ready to pull front cylinder again and new james gasket, I have seen a couple 65s that seem to leak in same location. I use HD 60 oil and ride the bike often.
Thanks for any suggestions

Re: crank vent on 65FLH
Thanks Rabun, yes I am aware of the vent. Then that is where I want to plumb in the crank vent. From my understanding, the crank vent creates better vacume and discharge pressure in your mtr as the pistons go up and down. Helps your mtr breath better. I will give it a try and let the group know . From my understanding the 65 mtr made a # of changes in the model run on the venting of the mtr?
