Replacement lifter block -Oil passages?

#1

Post by jbgoodner2 »

I am installing new lifter blocks and tappets in my '62. The oil holes in the bores of the tappet blocks are not both to the inside, (as I think I remember them being). The manual says the oil holes must both face the center...are both oil holes supposed to be toward the center inside the blocks themselves? the tappet guides I have, have one toward the inside, and one toward the outside of the bores. I know I am easily confused, but should the flats on the tappets face the oil holes in the bores, or the center as the manual says?... Thanks in advance !!! God Bless !!!!!!
