Re: 1948 panhead flywheel end play
What year is the case? Is it rollers or timken bearings? I have timken in my -55 case and my endplay i think was .0035 100/mm. For the rollers i don´t no but i can find out. Sense you have acces to both books go with the one for your year model! Pre -55 it´s rollers and -55 and after its timken bearings. And be sure to do the measure with dry bearings. Soon you will get a ton of other answers so just wait and take your pic.

Use the H-D specs. In my opinion Clymer manuals are best suited for Fire starter or birdcage liners!

Basically it is the same as "Yamabond" or any other equivalent sealer. I believe H-D even sells it.And what is "hylomar"?

Can't find hylomar around here any longer. Best thing for sealing aluminum primary covers.panheadmike48 wrote:wea thats on the money called some old timers and thay sed the same from .0120 to .0140 now what can i use to remove the hylomar i just put on
