Permanent Oil to primary shut off???
I have a repo VTwin pan engine. The replica oil pump primary chain oiler will not shut off. Is there a passage in the pump or case that can be plugged. I want to run a belt and I have read other posts on re-routing the breather,But it pours oil. The original engine has been repaired and this one is going on HER bike. Thanks E

On the V-twin replica engine this is usually caused by the complete absence of a seat for the chain oiler adjusting screw.I would pull the pump, plug the hole and go ahead and run your belt drive.Do still run a breather line out under the engine so you dont get oily vapor on your belt.HTH

Thank you for the reply! Do I plug the hole in the case or pump?

I would plug the hole on the pump.Always molest the cheapest part first! Once you get the pump off its pretty obvious where the feed is to the chain oiler.
