Remote oil filter

#1

Post by Eric »

Have any of you guys used any of the remote oil filters on the market? I have a S&S oil pump and would like to go this route. Any pro's or con's would be appreciated.
Thanks

V Twin makes one that I like pretty well it is part # 40-0098 and takes a spin on filter and is small enough to make it easy to mount.

No. The oil feeding the engine comes from the oil tank through the pump, where it is put under pressure, and goes directly to the oil feed gallies. The return oil is what you are filtering so there is no impact to supply oil pressure.
