I have a 1949 pan and need help finding the rotor and vane parts for the oil pump, any help out there ???

ncitta, You can always try Fleabay. Try to buy a complete one. I found one for my bike that actually was good. Unfortunately, anything good on Fleabay usually sells for top dollar as you are bidding against the whole USA. I have also found that you have to buy two to make one of something as there is a reason the part was removed. But, if you like to search around, you may find something decent.

Thanks, I bought the pump from fleabay
and I called Bills 2 days ago but they needed part numbers which I have not been able to find yet....

I was just told today that the 49 pump looks like the 48 but does not use the rotor.

Original '49 outer castings were not machined for the rotor, but still had the cavity. There is a hole to fill on the separator plate to convert to Pan flow.

It's in a Shop Dope somewhere.
