1965 Panhead oil pump drive shaft

Is the length of the shaft the same as a 1968, just wondering if they are compatable or interchangable?
I am putting the original oil pump on my 65 pan as it has a later 68 pump on it now and was wondering if I have to change the drive shaft, is the 68 longer? Just thought I could avoid removing the timing cover.
thanks again

Yes, '68 shaft is longer, you will need to change it to a '67 and earlier type. All the aluminum bodied pumps use a longer shaft.
