Can someone tell me if the pressure relife valve spring is similar in tension/thickness as the check ball spring? Got mine apart and the spring looks WAY too heavy to be compressed by the amount of oil pressure that i beleive the motor puts out. A picture would be ideal! The motor is a 1965 flh
Gracias

Arnulfo!
The relief spring is much heavier than the sump check spring.
Its purpose is to divert excess, which can exceed 60psi at start-up.
