Best gasket for pushrod tubes?
I have the cork gaskets and one is leaking on the rear intake lower. I was wondering if the rubber ones work any better?

I tried all of the new ones. Cork works best for me, and at 25 cents apiece, ya can't beat 'em.

Never had a problem with the cork style.
Take a close look at the bottom sealing surface of the push rod tube.
I had an imperfection in the bottom of one tube that caused a leak. Took 2 times apart to find it. Must of happened when they were rechromed. Sanded the bottom of the tube on a flat surface like glass with 320 sand paper. After a few passes you could see a slight gap, not sealing properly. After resurfacing tube end, reinstalled--no more leak.
fixed another one.

Re: Best gasket for pushrod tubes?
Well I replaced the upper and lower cork gasket and no more leaks so far. I does seem the lower tube lip doesn't fill the lifter block very well. maybe a new set from colony are in order. not sure what brand are in now as they came with the bike. I believe the previous owner ordered from J&P alot.
