before I do something stupid with the Longest Pushrod...

Please confirm for me that the longest pushrod goes to the rear exhaust (3 rods the same length, one maybe 1/4 inch longer)

These are aftermarket pushrods, the fat aluminum ones. the pushrod ends have a larger ball end on one end and a smaller ball on the other. the larger ball end goes to the rocker and the smaller ball end goes into the lifter, right????

Don't try to "add something" or improvise a "new and better method" or we'll reach over there and smack ya'. 8)

You're smart to ask first. Didn't take up all your day waiting for an answer either.

Note to all: Hydraulic cups are deep and narrow. Solid cups are wide and shallower and neither will mix with the hyd. or solid push rods.
Al, you might consider adding "Longest Pushrod?" to the title of your post, so people can knowledge base the big end info - if that's how it works here in Panhead land.

The suggestion about using a title which accurately describes the problem using a few well chosen words is a VERY good idea and should be applied to every post. Panhead should add that to the instructions for how to use this forum. We all know how frustrating it is trying to find something when you really need it.

Beware: That's loose, and can result in mushroomed valve stems and premature failure of the tappet rollers, much less a clatter than can be heard in the next county.

And if by chance aluminum pushrods are used, they will damn near fall out!
