Painting the cylinders...........or not ??

Hi

I want to spraypaint the cylinders of my '59 pan.

Good idea ?
What do you think??
If so i want to use wrinkle paint.

It is recommended! They were originally silver. A good paint is helpfull because they tend to rust and bleed through the paint, I have started using duplicolor high heat paint. It is not a wrinkle paint though.

I did mine with wrinkle black with hammer finish silver cases several years ago and they've held up well. In the high humidity and corrosive salt air of the island, bare metal doesn't stand a chance! The wrinkle finish came out nice and has received many compilments. Just don't do it when its cold cause it won't work right. Everything needs to be warm for the finish to wrinkle up properly.
