valves hitting pan

Hey. my newest problem is I had a valve job done and the man said check for spring collar hitting pan. something else I didnt know about! well sure enough it is tight on one head. what can be done about this? Thanks!

double up on the gaskets, or if the covers are alum. then you may be able to peen the covers to fit... when I had alum covers mine hit so bad that I welded a bead on the outside, then cut into the cover inside with a die grider, then relieved the D ring to clear the weld build up on the lip...
or you can get height retainers from andrews cams and I think other sell these also...

be sure to shim the valve springs. the deeper the seat the looser the spring. and a loose spring won't hold the keepers at high rpm.

seats are probably cut too deep, but you can try the thick gaskets. springs hitting the covers will wear out the guides in no time.
