Has anyone tried a set of aftermarket cylinders. Ive found some for about $165 each. I know they are not going to be as snazy as s&s but they are all I can afford.

Good, Bad or Indifferent?
thanks

Check them for core float ( That's when the casting does not allow the machining to get the hole in the center...)

Particularly the rear cylinder, as many oriental imports over the last decade have had the wall get tragically thin at the cutaway for the rear base nuts. I have one on my trophy shelf that nearly reached daylight at .030" overbore. ( I put my fingernail through it!)
All it takes is a simple caliper, the old-fashioned kind that look like a bug's pincers.
