Correct Cylinder color

Post by 6hds »

Looked at lots of pictures of "original" Panheads and restored ones. Early ones usually have black, and sometimes black wrinkle cylinder color. Most later years have silver cylinders. What were they from the factory? Thanks, Gary

I believe mid 48 to 65 were silver....if I'm wrong I'll get corrected.

Dewey is correct. '48 started out black, than went to silver for the duration of Panhead production. And any sort of wrinkle was NEVER used.
