I've got some scratches on my fork tubes. I assume they are chrome plated. I thought I could lightly sand them with fine emery cloth in a radial motion and polish the area on the buffer.
Thanks
Leon

Re: Repairing scratches on fork tube
I'm not worried about appearance ( yes, I'm running the cow bells), I'm concerned about the scratches affecting the seals and making leaks.Bosheff wrote:If yer runnin the stock headlight schroud and the cowbells you don't em....bosheff

Re: Repairing scratches on fork tube
Do the tubes even protrude into the lower legs where the scratches are? Tubes are the same from 49-77 I believe....bosheff
