more questions, and hopefully to save me some time and money.

Does anyone know the center of eye to eye length on the 58FL rear shocks, & the OD of the upper and lower mounting studs?

Would, for example....a set of shocks off a later model sportster fit??

Also, does anyone have the measurement's of a 58 and later rear axle?

OD, & overall length?

Thanks George Greer

PS, got a set of rear struts, taking to US with me in Nov, still looking for parts..

George the studs measure .625" o.d. x 1.630" width. (Didn't measure the mounting bolt size/frame hole. Let me know if you need it.)

Checking the swing arm, my 1958 measures 9.125" (inside width at axle location). I'm missing the axle too.
