49 pan with sidecar
im am doing a 49 pan w/side car. which springer is correct, offset or inline and did the bars have the 49-53 spirals or did they still use the earlier type. another mystery is which front fender was used the three piece or was a smooth side made in 49 for sidecar bikes. the rear i know was smooth from pics i have seen but can not see front fender or end of bars on any pics. the smooth type fender came out in 50 on servi's. thanks dan

Dear Dan,
They were offset. Youll never regret it if you choose a top tree with risers for the later handlebars. Page 124 in the parts book makes me think its what they came with anyway.
'Respectful,
