Hello from Sardinia,Italy.
I write little because my English is not excellent, I apologize to everyone.
My question is as follows.Three years ago,I bought a 48 FL 74,stock,virtually original, including springer fork.
This fork is in good condition, not rust and oiled regularly but very stiff during riding.Very dangerous, even for small road irregularities.
The lower rocker plates are not bidding and the springs seem to be original.I think that the problem is only in the spring.
The springer fork is always been little cushioning or my fork is not normal? There are softer springs?
Thanks for the answers.

Re: springer fork does not amortizes
The springs are stiff cause you don't have much travel.
Try to avoid holes in the road, hand on tight on rough roads.
