Duoglide shock absorbers

#1

Post by Trogg »

Hi
Does anyone know the spring rate for the rear shock absorbers? My ones are the correct length and are in superb condition, but a the spring rate is far too high. Even with my 6'3" 230 lbs they only compress about 1/4" maximum. I have a frame mounted seat presently so it is a bit hard on the spine!
The springs when off the shocks are 9.5" long and are 3/8th wire diameter with about 12 coils.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

They're adjustable with 3 settings depending on weight, have you tried them on the softest setting?
