Help timing mallory ignition

#1

Post by wayne-o »

I just just completed installing a mallory ignition (pn a557) on my 64 pan and I am not sure I have right in time yet, It is still a little hard to start even hot takes a few kicks, when I did get the bike running put a timing light on it the timming mark was bouncing back in forth and got it to what i thought was really close at idle, ran it down the road about three miles it had a little sputter at the start after it idled and looked to be loading up the front cylinder, ran good at higher rpms, got home pulled the plugs the front looked a little rich and the rear was very lean. I don't know what else i should do?
