My circuit breaker was installed incorrectly. Specifically the timing marks were all lined up with the circuit breaker in the fully retarded position vs the fully advanced postion. Q--would this timing error be able to be compensated for by just adjusting the circuit breaker ( ie loosening the nut and rotating clockwise) or would the timing be off too many degrees for this to work.
Another q--about how many degrees of timing are effected by the circuit breaker being one tooth off?

yes u can put it in in any position and rotate it to set timming just be carefull of your wire

You might be able to get enough movement with the internal adjuster but you'll still be off and you won't have the proper travel from retard to advance so starting may become an issue. It is better to go ahead and pull the timer and drop it back in where it belongs at full advance. Then you will have full travel so you can retard it for those cold starts.
