Setting points

In setting the points at the rec'd .022" , which side of the distributer cam is used--the side with the timing mark on it or the opposite, more rounded side? Or.. are they the same measurement ?

Set on either one then check gap on both.Gap should be within .002" of the same on both lobes.Narrow lobe is for the front cyl,wide for the rear.
